Prof. Gabi Chaushu
Prof. Gabi Chaushu, DMD, MSc is an Associate Professor in Tel Aviv University, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Attended the Hebrew University at Jerusalem. Completed residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel. He is past president of the Israeli Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Prof. Chaushu has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in the English literature. He has an extensive experience in implant surgery. Lectured on dental implantology in both national and international meetings. Teaching dental implantology courses on both basic and advanced levels. Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery unit at the Tel Aviv Medical Center 2002-2006. Head of Oral Health & Dental Implantology Center at the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center from 2008. His fields of research in dental implantology include: Sinus Augmentation, Immediate Implant placement, Immediate loading of implants, Ridge Augmentation procedures and postoperative morbidity, Biomechanics of implant dentistry, Orthodontic Surgical teamwork with emphasis on the use of mechanical retention and osseointegration for orthodontic anchorage.
